Founded in 2019, The Honarkar Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting and promoting arts, culture, and education in Laguna Beach.
The Foundation envisions a world where the arts and humanities are not exclusive privileges, but rather cherished resources that inspire, empower, and connect.
In December 2023, we opened our inaugural exhibition venue—a spacious 4,200-square-foot museum-quality space housed within the historically significant former post-office building at 298 Broadway Street. During our time at this location, we showcased a rotating series of curated exhibitions, with a particular focus on Southern California artists, and hosted a wide range of public programming, including performances, discursive events, artist receptions, and book signings.
As of 2025, The Honarkar Foundation is expanding its programming to other dynamic spaces in Laguna Beach, continuing to bring exceptional art and cultural experiences to the community while engaging new audiences in innovative ways. Our mission remains focused on providing accessible and transformative arts experiences that foster connection and creativity.
